Scottish Budget
Today the Finance Minister John Swinney has announced the next 3 years spending settlement. As they say the devil is in the detail and it will be over the next few days that we are able to digest the detail that has been announced but one of the headlines needs immediate comment on.
In the Budget the Mr Swinney announced another pay freeze on local government workers which will mean that yet again some of the lowest paid workers are going to be paying for the problems that our country is facing caused by irresponsible bankers.
All a pay freeze does is take money out of the local economy, as 70p of every £1 earned by a public sector worker is spent locally.
As the more detail is announced on the budget then more information will be posted.
